A Storm Chaser’s Journey Since I was a 4th grader, documenting severe weather has been my most constant joy in life. At a young age, I used TV radar and outside weather conditions to predict how storms evolved. It turns out, I was good at predicting whether cells would become tornado warned. Often, I'd meet incoming storms by bicycle in my rural Iowa hometown, and then I'd race home to safety and watch more local news coverage. Years later, in 2020, I started a YouTube channel to share this crazy thing called storm chasing with my fellow weather-obsessed Iowans and people, the world over. Along the way, I hope to not only entertain, but also inform, warn, and educate people about severe weather. Documenting storms has taken me through nearly every county in Iowa, and I’ve journeyed across tornado alley to bring my joy of weather content to all of you scrolling safely at home. On that note, severe weather poses considerable risk to life and property. I've observed tornadoes and storms for over two decades, and I still approach each storm with respect for its unpredictability. Photography is a big part of my identity, and I take pride in my dedication to detail, artistry, and sharing the experience. My style seeks excellent color and defining lines in a purposeful composition. I rely on natural lighting whenever possible. The biggest thrill is documenting the moment, not doctoring it. Thank you for viewing my work and supporting my passion! Chase On.
